The Business School is part of the University of Cologne and is attached to the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, which was awarded EQUIS accreditation in 2012. Our EMBA is based on the established and accredited Executive MBA at our partner institution, the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, itself an internationally leading “triple crown” business school. We have all of the programmes at the Business School of the University of Cologne quality-checked and accredited on a regular basis. These processes consider both the relevance of the programme’s content as well as its structure and manageability.

Rich in Tradition

The University of Cologne was founded back in 1388. Following the establishment of Cologne’s Commercial College, “Handelshochschule Köln” in 1901 and, in particular, Germany’s Wirtschaftswunder, the University had started to develop into the institution we know today. With six faculties and more than 40,000 students, it is an important part of the city of Cologne and symbolises a renowned and strong international reputation in both research and teaching.
