Rich in Tradition
The University of Cologne was founded back in 1388. Following the establishment of Cologne’s Commercial College, “Handelshochschule Köln” in 1901 and, in particular, Germany’s Wirtschaftswunder, the University had started to develop into the institution we know today. With six faculties and more than 40,000 students, it is an important part of the city of Cologne and symbolises a renowned and strong international reputation in both research and teaching.

In order to promote contact between students and between students and lecturers, we make sure course group sizes are never too big.
All of our programmes and courses are future-oriented and cover current topics. The idea is to expose our students to promising ideas for the future to give them an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, proactivity and professionalism.
